4th Annual NYC Family Caregiver Coalition Awards Honors Dr. Mary Mittelman and Ana L. Oliveira
Ana L. Oliveira, President and Chief Executive Officer of The New York Women's Foundation, Dr. Mary S. Mittelman, Director of the Psychosocial Research and Support Program of the NYU Center of Excellence on Brain Aging, NYU Langone Medical Center, and Ilene Margolin, Senior Vice President of EmblemHealth at the 4th Annual New York City Family Caregiver Coalition award ceremony, which was hosted by EmblemHealth. Dr. Mittelman and her team were honored for their groundbreaking research on the effect of psychosocial interventions for family members caring for loved ones with cognitive impairment or dementia. Ms. Oliveira was honored in recognition of the Foundation's innovative support to provide women and girls, many of whom are caregivers, expanded opportunities to achieve sustained economic security. Sponsored by the Council of Senior Centers and Services (CSCS), the Coalition is comprised of over 200 members delivering vital services, education and support to family caregivers and raises awareness and advocates on behalf of its members.
