Receptos raises USD25m in Series A financing
23 November 2009 - US biopharmaceutical company Receptos Inc said today it has completed a two-tranche USD25m (EUR16.7m) Series A financing.
Receptos is focused on identifying and developing best- and first-in-class G Protein-Coupled Receptor (GPCR) therapeutic candidates through information-driven drug discovery, including GPCR structure.
Investors include ARCH Venture Partners, Flagship Ventures, Lilly Ventures and Venrock.
The company said that the capital will support its lead sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1P1) clinical candidate through Phase I human clinical trials, development of a second IND candidate, as well as the select partnering of the proprietary technology platform for GPCR drug discovery and development.
