Haemonetics Earnings Disappoint; Announces Plans to Acquire Global Med Technologies
Shares of Haemonetics (HAE) are down about 5 percent this morning after reporting lower than expected 3rd quarter results.
The blood collection and processing systems maker posted 71 cents per share, just short of analysts expectations of 72 cents. Adding to the selloff was the announcement that the company is buying Global Med Technologies (GLOB) for $60 million in cash.
Haemonetics will pay the health information technology company $1.22 per share for its common stock $1694 per preferred share.
Right now in New York the stock is down $2.66 per share to just under $54 per share.
